Sean Patrick Suiter

Professional & Education:
Sean was born in McCook, Nebraska and attended St. Patrick’s School. He graduated from Creighton University (B.A. English Literature) and Creighton University School of Law (J.D.). He also has a B.S. (Chemistry and Physics) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Sean is the founding member of the intellectual property law firm of Suiter Swantz IP and has practiced international patent law for over 30 years. He has taught patent law at Creighton Law School for the last 21 years and has also been a visiting professor of intellectual property at Peking University (Beijing 2001, 2003, 2007).

Faith & Ministry:
Sean is a Roman Catholic and a student of the Church. He also has a deep interest in theology and philosophy. He has endeavored to live a life of faith since he was the head altar boy at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McCook. He attends Mass at Immaculate Conception, Dowd Chapel, Boys Town for the last 25 years.

Family & Personal:
Sean and his wife Sarah were married in 1988 in St. Margaret Mary’s Church. They have two adult sons (Ian and Max). Sean is a pilot, woodworker, and student.
