William C. Kriss Andrews

Professional & Education:
William C. (Kriss) Andrews, now retired, was a senior executive and consultant with a diverse background in highly complex and challenging environments driving stabilization and turnaround within small, mid-cap, and Fortune 500 companies spanning industries such as automotive, manufacturing, chemical, energy, transportation, environmental, high-tech and government. While serving as Executive Vice President and CFO at Energy Conversion Devices, Inc., Kriss saved investors more than $100 million dollars by co-developing a value maximization strategy to sell businesses out of bankruptcy. Prior to his tenure at Energy Conversion Devices, Inc., Kriss was Senior Managing Director for the North American Automotive Practice of International Business Advisory and Restructuring Firm, BBK, Ltd. There, he assisted clients in evaluating enterprise viability, distressed business valuation, lending practices/capital markets, cost reduction/control, evaluation of management, operations consolidations, mergers and acquisitions transactions/restructuring, and last resort liquidation. Educated at Northwestern University, he earned an MBA in Finance and Managerial Economics in addition to his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bradley University. Kriss is also a graduate of Boys Town High School, in Boys Town, Nebraska.

Family & Personal:
Kriss and his wife of 44 years, Joanne, reside in Novi, MI, and are members of Saint James Parish in Novi. Kriss and Joanne split their time between Michigan and Florida, and when in Florida they attend Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice, Florida.They have five adult children and three young grandsons. Their children work in diverse fields, including chemical and software engineering, pharmacy, supply chain management, and government. Kriss grew up in Boise, Idaho, and went to Boys Town following the death of his mother. In some sense Kriss is a second generation Boys Town alum, as his uncle, Ben Stadler, attended Boys Town in the 30’s following the death of his mother.
